Privacy Policy

Mark for Nebraska  •  Effective May 17, 2026

At Mark for Nebraska, we are committed to protecting the privacy of our supporters and website visitors. This Privacy Policy explains how the Mark for Nebraska campaign collects, uses, and safeguards the personal information you provide through this website.

Information We Collect

When you register, contribute, sign up to volunteer, register for an event, or contact us through this site, we ask you for contact information including your name, mailing address, email address, phone number, and ZIP code. We collect only the information necessary for the purpose you provided it.

If you make a contribution online or purchase tickets to an event, we also ask for your credit card number, expiration date, security code, and billing address. We use that information solely to process your contribution. We do not retain it, and we never disclose it for any other purpose.

Federal campaign-finance law requires us to collect and report the name, mailing address, employer, and occupation of any donor whose contributions exceed $200 in a calendar year. The Federal Election Commission then makes that information publicly available.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to operate this website, communicate with you about campaign updates and upcoming events, ask for your participation and help, solicit donations, coordinate volunteers, run get-out-the-vote efforts, personalize your experience on the site, and improve our outreach. We may email you and call you for these purposes using the contact information you supply.

Text Messages and Mobile Opt-In

If you check the SMS opt-in box on one of our forms, you consent to receive recurring text messages from Mark for Nebraska, including campaign updates, fundraising appeals, donation requests, volunteer opportunities, event information, and get-out-the-vote messages. Consent is not a condition of any donation or other transaction. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time, or HELP for help.

We will not share text messaging originator opt-in data and consent with any third parties under any circumstances, except as required by law. Mobile opt-in information stays with the Mark for Nebraska campaign and the SMS platform we use to deliver these messages.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We may share information only with trusted vendors who support our campaign operations — for example, our fundraising platform, email and SMS providers, and compliance consultants — and only to the extent they need it to perform services for the campaign.

We may also disclose personal information when we have a good-faith belief that disclosure is appropriate to comply with the law (for example, a lawful subpoena or FEC reporting obligation), to protect our rights or property, to protect our donors, volunteers, and supporters from fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful conduct, or if we reasonably believe that an emergency involving immediate danger of death or serious physical injury to any person requires immediate disclosure.

Cookies, Analytics, and Server Logs

We use cookies to measure things such as the number of monthly visitors, repeat visits, and most-viewed pages. Cookies also let us remember information you have already entered so you do not need to resubmit it.

We use third-party services such as Google Analytics to understand traffic patterns and identify problems with the site. We may embed images in our emails to track open rates so we know which messages resonate with our supporters.

We log standard technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, for troubleshooting and to see which pages people visit. We do not use log files to track any particular individual's use of the website.

Advertising

We may place online advertising with third-party vendors, including Google, that appears on other websites across the internet. In some cases, those vendors choose which ads to show you based on your prior visits to our site. We never personally identify you to those vendors and never share information you have given us with them. To opt out of these third-party advertising cookies, visit the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page at optout.networkadvertising.org.

Notice for Parents

We want to help you guard your children's privacy. We encourage you to talk to your children about safe and responsible use of their personal information online. We do not knowingly collect, use, or distribute the personally identifiable information of children to any third parties. If you have questions or concerns about your child's access to this site or how we use information your child has provided, please contact us.
